Date: April 14, 2012 Times: 9:30am-12:30pm & 2:00pm-5:00pm Cost: $100Description: Rooted in a potent spiritual tradition, yoga is best viewed as a path of transformation. At its core is an intention to bring our whole self fully present to the moment-to-moment experience of being alive. By uplifting the power of our presence, yoga calls each of us to embark on a profound evolutionary journey. Then it bestows the balance of self-acceptance and inner strength required to be intimate with our inner experience--even when it is scary or painful. All along the way, yoga helps us do the simplest yet most transformative thing of all: let life itself touch and teach us.
On the morning of this daylong retreat, Richard Faulds will guide a yoga experience designed to deepen self-awareness by weaving together postures, breathing, deep relaxation, and sitting meditation, punctuated by Danna Faulds' poetry. In the afternoon, participants will bring this awareness into relationship and life through a variety of small group exercises. The day will end with a second session of breath-assisted relaxation and meditation. Join Richard and Danna for an immersion experience bound to leave you feeling rebalanced, revitalized, and fully alive.
