Crofton Yoga-Yoga Styles
Kripalu - Inspired by Kripalvananda (Swami Kripalu) and developed by his disciple Amrit Desai, Kripalu Yoga is a three-stage practice to increase body awareness, postural alignment and coordination of breath with movement. Meditation and breathwork are also important components.
Pranakriya - Based on the original writings and lectures of Swami Kripalu, this practice was developed in 2005 by Yoganand Michael Carroll, a Senior Kripalu teacher. This practice focues on inquiry, exploration and self-discovery in an effort to nourish the whole person and help one address everyday problems.
Integrative Yoga Therapy - Builds strength, flexibility and relaxation using mindfulness and the breath.
Multi Style - A class with roots in a variety of different teaching styles and traditions.
Power Pilates - Power Pilates is a classical approach to Pilates, which is a simple progression of movements taught in a systematic manner used to stabilize, strengthen and stretch your core muscles and increase overall strength and wellness.
Radiant Child Yoga Program - (RCYP) is a certificate program for teaching yoga teachers, school teachers, parents and all others who are interested in learning how to teach children yoga. The RCYP courses have qualified as CEUs for public school systems, and as credit hours for RYT certification through Yoga Alliance. RCYP, was developed by Shakta Kaur Khalsa, whose vision of sharing the benefits of yoga with children all around the world was the creative spark that initiated the program.
YogaEd - This style of yoga develops health/wellness programs and materials that utilize the physiological, emotional and educational benefits of yoga and creative play, and distributes them to children, teachers and parents through schools and communities nationwide.
